Back To The Future Recreation

To recreate this scene from Back To The Future we had to try many different things. First we had to find a stairwell that could fit the scene from the movie. Luckily we found one, but the lighting in there was too warm and bright and there wasn't much we could do about it. When creating this film we had to rewatch the video of the scene we had over and over. The actors watched each movement of the characters and their reactions trying our best to copy. The cinematographer made sure to watch how the camera was placed and moved for us to make the scene even more believe-able to the original. Throughout the process we had many ups and down. At first we took too long to get into costume, then there was always a problem with audio. It seemed anytime we would get somewhere something would happen like when we lost all our clips so we redid our whole film. If we only had easier costumes and were able to get the zoom recorder to work we would have gotten done faster. Although, we still had our successes as well. I think most of our acting was well done and when lining up the original clip and our version they are very similar. So, overall I believe we did pretty well.

Actor, Director

To act I had to not only memorize the lines from the clip but I also tried to mimic the actions of the character. I also had a costume I had to bring to school to further create the image of the character. For director it was only a matter of finding a location to fit the scene. We all found an area that sufficed, so then we had to fill out a location release. For this we had to get a signature from a teacher saying we could use the performing arts center.
