2D Lip Syncing
I want to try to do some lip syncing in both 3D and 2D this year and implement them into projects. As much as I like the non-verbal animations I would like to try something new and learn something new. I am making a quick project here for 2D and hope I can add some lip-syncing into it. The idea for 2D lip-syncing is that there are pre-set mouth expressions for each sound/letter. This way it is simpler to put together full words and sentences. Once I get the hang of this I feel it could come pretty naturally and be fun.
You can use a chart like this to help with the lip-syncing. I think you can make really simple but interesting or funny animations using this. They might not be the best quality but overall you will get a nice product. I am going to do some testing with audio clips from my friends and myself for this Halloween inspired short. Hopefully all will turn out well, I am pretty far as of right now, but as far as I'd like to be. Overall, I am very inspired and will work hard to get this done for my deadline.
I plan on using this in my first project that I will be finishing soon.
